As announced in our roadmap, notification is the first in a chain of many features to be released in 2017. We’ve been intensively working to make it perfect, and today we are thrilled to inform you that MicrojobEngine v1.3 has been officially released with this must-have feature, allowing users to keep track of all new activities related to them.
From now on, users on your site have no worry about missing on any events. Notification bar will notify users whenever there is a new action involved with their orders, their transactions, etc.
How notification for MicrojobEngine looks like?
Similar to Google +, Youtube, Twitter, and other websites, bell symbol is used as the icon for MicrojobEngine notification that displayed in the header menu.
The number of unread notifications is shown to indicate how many notifications users haven’t read.
Users can view the list of most recent notifications. Besides, they can click on a certain notification to view the details as the image below:
In case users don’t want to see some notification, they can hide this one. By contrast, they can also click “Undo” to get back and restore the notification.

Other theme improvements
- Display number of unread message(s) instead of a bullet as before.

- Change header menu on mobile and tablet to the sticky header to make the header visible at all time.

Great Features! but the notification feature doesnt work on firefox, there is a continuous spinning wheel just underneath the search bar and lastly, the notification shows funny at the below the footer on firefox browser.
Also it doesnt work on chrome browser for mobile.
Am i the only one with these issues?

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Currently there are some minor bugs relating to display in Firefox browser. What you can do are:
– Update your browser to the latest version.
– Use a tool to record a quick video (like http://recordit.co) since this kind of bug is about styling and displaying. A quick video is a better help.
– And don’t forget to backup your site before going to update. If you need more investigations, please contact our support channel in order to get help.

Thanks for the updates.. but with the mobile view, the sticky bar covers the search button can you check on that, and also can you provide a free option to add our payment gateway.. that will help us from different part of the world.. Here in Ghana, mobile money payment which is M-commerce is very common to use and that is what most e-commerce website and other websites uses now.. options to integrate our payment gateway would be very very nice. i need it for microjob and estateengine i bought both and looking forward to buy jobengine too so kindle check on the payment gateway for us

1. The sticky bar covers the search button: can you please identify that sticky bar and the location via screenshot?
2. Free option to add our payment gateway: we already have a long-term plan to develop payment gateway extensions. During the time please provide API info to us so we can have a look at it. We have a roadmap at the top of this post, please view and send us an idea if possible.
I recommend you contact a freelancer to develop this payment gateway if you need it immediately.
im currently having two websites (microjob and estateengine) from you and im planning of purchasing JobEngine making three websites and im in africa (Ghana) seriosuly im not able to use it because our payment method is different.. we like to use M-commerce which is mobile money and also we have different payment gateway that helps us to pay through paypal and cards… some payment gateways in Ghana

Hi Enoch, Currently we don’t get enough feedback about some payment gateways in Ghana. The right way to do this is contacting a 3rd party customization service if you need to run your business soon.
I can add these payment gateways as ideas in the Roadmap.
Do you mean i should contact a developer to integrate a payment method for me ? or you mean i should contact some 3rd parties so that you can put their system in your next update ?
I mean you should contact a developer. In case you can contact the payment gateway provider to ask for a chance in terms of WordPress integration, it would be nice and we think we can help.

Is there something i am missing? Is there a way admin can get an order alert when a user/buyer places an order.
When a user/buyer places an order, I do not get an email alert. I have to check at the backend constantly to verify if any order has been placed for my approval (this should not be). right?
Currently the theme does not have this function. We’ve had a chance to discuss this. Hope to find the final solution soon.

I had raised an issue before about the Menu bar disappearing in Mozilla Firefox in Mobile Mode.
Whenever you click on the menu, the menu disappears back.

if this started happening just after the update. try clearing the cache of that browser.

secondly i think it woill be a great idea for the home page to display more than 8 latest jobs else many people thinks those are the only users on the platform… at least do it like 20 works or better still display latest work and featured work on home page… give us some space to advertise some businesses… and add features to it so it can turn to a B2B marketing platform for us… Thank you

Can you upgrade the microjob demo site of enginethemes to 1.3 so we have see the changes before I upgrade?
I have problem.. when a file is delivered to someone, the person can view but there is no download button to download the file… please check on that for me

Our themes are WordPress based. Theoretically, they can work with any WordPress. However, we have not tested the compatibility with free version yet . We’re so sorry because we cannot give you any recommends in this case.
