Hi, thanks for releasing a new update. What is the best approach to update a theme? Do I simply upload and overwrite all files through FTP? There is an update button in the Engine Settings of ForumEngine, but I’m not sure if anything really updates after I have entered my license key. Can you tell me what that does? And how I can safely update my theme?

      Hi,

You can use both ways to update you theme.

However, if you’ve already customized something in your site, it’ll be better to upload the changed files through FTP. If you update the theme via your back-end, it’ll overwrite everything.

Hope you’ll find that helpful and thanks for using our product.

      Hi,

In the package we provide, you can find a file name “changelog.txt”, all the changed files are listed in it.

      Regards,

Love ForumEngine, very dedicated & helpful. We are building a non-profit site and considering between bbpress and ForumEngine.
Is there any discount available for ForumEngine there?

      Hi Adam,

Thank you very much for your interest in our product.

Since we have just launched a big event for BlackFriday, currently, we don’t have any discount code for ForumEngine.

      Regards,

What a pity, I don’t have any notice about your Black Friday discount. Anyway we still have not launched our project, how can we subscribe for newsletter and wait for a discount time? We wanna buy both forumengine and qaengine, and a discount price is more reasonable for us, we do non-profit multi-sites.
        Thanks,
        Adam

We too are creating a NPO club association — we hope to do charity food fund raisers… However, there is an issue!!!

We had noticed that ForumEngine was offering the option to allow our local community to log-in to a forum via their existing Facebook account, and while this is true for anyone on a Desktop or Tablet PC, users who are viewing the site from a mobile device can not login via their Facebook account and they may not upload images from their devices… The issue is that 99% of our community audience wishes to view this content via their mobile devices, our business plans are now somewhat half-way halted on this one obstacle…

We have noticed some support queries regarding this issue and ET has mentioned including these functions in an update possibly…

PLEASE! we beg of you! to include these important features into your product soon! Thank you for your time and efforts! We believe in this product and support ET!

      Hi Sean,

Sorry for making you wait for too long. We’ll remind our developers once again about this feature.

We’ll consider and add this to our product plan.

Once again, thank you very much for your patience.

      Best regards,
