MjE

In MicrojobEngine v1.0.6, user must log in before ordering a mJob, Payment & Billing information are hidden, some bugs are fixed as well

Improvements

  • Change the flow of ordering a mJob for non-logged-in users. Users must signup and login before making an order.

  • Payment and Billing information are hidden in Dashboard and user’s public profile from now on.

Bug fixes

  • Price package is correctly saved when user changes the initial to a new package in the “Post a mJob” form.
  • [Mobile] Scrolling issue with opening two modals at the same time is solved (Signup & Forgot password forms).
  • [Tablet] Can easily remove a tag in search box by clicking the ‘x’ icon.

      Hey Chau,

This is of vital importance to be implimented. Also it needs to be implemented in a way where the admin can set a price range for EACH category.

Logo design price range would for example be 50 – 1000
Website design price range would be for example from 100 – 2000
Video and Animation price range would be 500 – 10000

Each job and category need to be in line to provide a fair system and a system providers would want to work on and with.

I have experience working in online platforms and as a freelancer myself I am the one who wants to decide the price I want to sell my services and not forced on me by the system. I also want a platform which offers fair pricing. If I sell a service of logo design for 75 and then have another provider offering the service for just 5 or 10 – then I would leave the platform since in my eyes it will not be an enough serious platform.

And to be honest, if we start filling in our websites with services selling low cost services, you can not expect a high end result from providers. And that’s not the aim we want to launch our website.

Please make sure that the price changes implemented in the 1.1.1 version are as described above. (already loosing providers who don’t want to charge a low cost service)

      Thanks,
      Chris

        Hello Chris,

Regarding your question, thus far, to implement it in a way where the admin can set a price range for EACH category are still too complex at the moment.

However, I’m glad to inform you that in MjE version 1.1.1 you will be able to custom your own mjob pricing. Please look forward to its release.

        Many thanks.

Without wanting to sound like “i’m the expert”, although I have programming know-how. Would it be easier if you can implement this by simply changing the price field min and max value in the submit form depending on the category chosen when submitting a job?

The data would then be pulled out from the info the admin enters within the Engine Theme Settings on the WP Admin backend.

Should be pretty straight forward this way.

          Thanks,
          Chris

We certainly appreciate the feedback. Currently, we have no plan to implement this feature in the next update. However, you can create a new thread at the [Idea] Category to get more votes before any further consideration.
