MicrojobEngine update

Major release of MicrojobEngine version 1.1. The highlights include Custom Order, Credit payment method, and new revenue report.

Improvements – Custom Order, Pay by Credits

  • The highlight of version 1.1 – Custom Order. Buyer now can send seller an Order with custom requirement and price.
  • New payment method. Use Credits to pay for mJob listings and orders on site.
  • Revenue report in user’s Dashboard is hence updated.
  • After signup, users can require the system to resend a new activation link if they lost it.
  • From this version, sellers cannot edit their mJobs whose status are active or paused. Only admin can do it.

Bug fixes

  • Website title is correctly displayed after being updated in the back-end (Engine Settings > Settings > General).

Note on 2Checkout payment gateway

Since 2CheckOut prohibits selling Products/Services as an Agent for a Third Party (https://www.2checkout.com/policies/prohibited-product-list/), 2CheckOut can only be used for selling package to post mJobs in your marketplace and is not available when users order mJobs.

Custom Pricing of services by Freelancer is not included in the update?

      Hello Chris,

In the MjE version 1.1, Custom Order is one of the improvements. Also, only a Buyer can send seller an Order with custom requirement and price.

      Hope it clarifies your concern.

You noted in your previous comments that custom pricing for each service offered via the website had to be included in version 1.1 – that is that when a provider is submitting a service he can decide the price for it. ( https://www.enginethemes.com/update-microjobengine-1-0-6/ )

We promised this to our users already as they keep on asking for it. It’s somehow useless to propose custom orders on a website service which is listed for example for $5.

Me buying a service would pretend to pay $5 for the service and not send a proposal for $400 for a website.

When will the custom pricing be included please?

Although I see the importance of custom orders the pricing for each service is VITAL and this has been explained several times not only by myself but by many others on the forum and comments.

Regarding the job editing features: I am not sure to understand the reason behind this. The edit job function should be left as it was. Why shouldn’t a provider be able to edit the job himself?

I’m a bit disappointed with this update – not sure what other users think.

I want to also point out that the Credits and the re-activation e-mail link are a great addition, though I would like you to have a look at my previous message regarding the update.

      Thanks,

      Chris

        Hi Chris,
Thank you for the compliment about Credits. I hope it’s a good addition to your business.
As mentioned previously, the feature Custom Pricing will be available in version 1.1.1. Our developers have started to work on this version. That said, right now we’re not able to tell exactly when it’s released. But one thing is for sure that we will work our best to deliver the new version to our customers ASAP, still good quality is ensured.
I truly appreciate your support and feedback for MicrojobEngine from the very first stages.
        Thank you and best regards,
        My.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. My bad for mixing version 1.1 with 1.1.1 – I apologise for that and look forward for this update.

      Hello Chris,

Thank you for posting in and I greatly appreciate your feedback.

Currently in MicrojobEngine version 1.1, price for all mJobs is set the same as $5 by the Admin. However, Sellers can offer extra services and set their own price for these extras. Especially, Buyer now can send custom order offer with different price/time delivery to Seller regards that specific Mjob (Custom order).

Considering your suggestion, I totally understand your concern. But thus far, it’s quite complex since they’re related to the core flows deeply. As our developer team has been researched and referenced the Microjob Market needs for MicrojobEngine I would say at this moment we can give no guarantee that all the demands will be met and we’re likely to stick with the core demands for Microjob.

Once again I’m thankful for your feedback and your understanding.

      Regards,

      • Chris

Would you be able to let me know about this:

      Hello Chris,

As for the job editing feature, once a Mjob got activated (Status as Active) and the buyer bought it. If the seller edits the Mjob info it will certainly affect the quality state of that specific Mjob and in version 1.1 the edit job function was left out so the seller couldn’t edit the job on their owns.

      Hope it clarifies your concern.

I understand your point and it crossed my mind too. I think there can be a fix to this though as an edit feature is not something anyone would want to take off in such case. You can’t take in consideration only the fact that a service will be edited in bad faith. There are various more times were a service is edited in good faith.

It’s like banning everyone from driving a car because there might be car accidents and you force them to take public transport instead.

        Right now:
How can a provider add new images to his service, change a spelling mistake or add / remove from the description?

        Fix:
On order of a service you send a copy of the service description including Title, Price, Days to deliver via e-mail to both buyer and seller.

Secondly, and this is very important. You should include another field which states the number of revisions / changes the provider is willing to provide with the service. This too should be included in the e-mail copy.

This way the buyer and the seller (including admin maybe) will have a copy of how the service was described on time of purchase.

Thank you and hope we can work this out somehow as I don’t think this edit feature should be removed from the site functions.

Also one more point on the edit service. Since the custom pricing will be introduced in version 1.1.1.

            – how can a user who already submitted a service on the current site change the price?
            – how can a user decide to edit the price to give out a promotion or increase sales?

I think these are valid points to consider to re-introduce the edit service function.

          Hello Chris,

    Hi guys!
I also dont understand this update.. credit system great… custom order also, but we are praying since long time, that PLEASE LET THE USERS DECIDE the price. Not everybody works for 5$ in this way I can not use the theme, becouse it not works in my country.:(((((((
Also no billing updates…. we are companes, we HAVE to create invoices… why not put it in the update?
    No shipping option too….
    Im also a bit dissapoint…

The Custom Pricing and invoices are loosing me a lot of freelancers. Already paid 500 euros in adverts and all I got back are 90 users and 30 services (none of which are promoting the service online due to the low price)

Luckily they are working on the custom pricing in version 1.1.1. but no idea for the invoice (which is a vital part too)

      We’ll wait and see.

      Hello Fatima,

As mentioned above, Custom Pricing will be available in version 1.1.1 onwards. Our developer team is constantly working with their best performance to sort this out at soonest. Also, the admin can change $5 per job to another value by going to Dashboard => ET settings => Settings => Content and update the value in the “mJob price” fields.

Regarding the shipping option please visit this link http://forum.enginethemes.com/thread-category/ideas so you can create a new thread at the [Idea] Category to get more votes before our developer team considers its possibility for future plans.

      Best regards,

    Hi guys
The invoice is not for the sellers… Im as owner need to create invoices! If somebody buy a service i will recive so i have to create invoice. The seller dont need to create invoice only just for me. In my country they give invoice for me or i pay taxes for them in different way illegal. But between me and seller the invoice is not so important … The most important thing is to get billing details from the buyers!!!

      Dear Fatima,
      Many thanks posting in.
Since our product is made for different users in different business. We have to create the most suitable feature according to the majority. The theme has not supported the feature that the admin can issue the invoices to sellers.
We also have no plan to implement this feature in the next update. However, you can create a new thread at the [Idea] Category to get more votes before any further consideration.

      Enjoy your weekend!
