After your theme is updated to the latest version of MicrojobEngine 1.1.4, all colors in your site will return to the theme default. So, we strongly recommend you to save your current colors to avoid being lost. Besides, you MUST re-setup the commission & category images after upgrading your theme.
Since the first MicrojobEngine release in February, we have been continuously endeavoring to improve our theme with innovative features & the well-designed admin dashboard. And after one month of intense work, we are now ready for an impressive comeback with a remarkably new homepage, making your theme more cutting-edge and elegant.
So today we’re thrilled to inform you that MicrojobEngine version 1.1.4 is coming, offering new homepage layout experience, along with other feature improvements.
Being inspired by the MBTI personality test, we decided to build skin layouts based on groups of personality traits. The purpose is to help you express specific characteristics of your site through colors and layout. Besides, we believe these skins will motivate your users to visit the site more often for its impressive design and wonderful UX.
In this version, we will launch the first skin – Diplomat, which represents warm, compassionate and gregarious individuals. It will make your site more attractive and friendly since this skin uses Green as the decisive color. Especially when your site focuses on products or services related to nature, environment, organic, or outdoors, this skin is an ideal choice.
To select Diplomat skin in Admin Dashboard, open Engine Settings > Site Construction & Design. This section allows you to import the sample date & select your favorite skin. Simply hover your mouse over the Diplomat skin and click “Select” as the image below, or “Preview” to take the first look.
Impressive sliders in Homepage Search
Have you ever wanted to create sliders with high usability without using any complicated plugin such as Revolution Slider or Soliloquy? With Diplomat skin, it’s so easy for you to use your own sliders with custom images displaying on the search page.
It’s totally simple, just visit Customize > Title & Background > Homepage Search, then tick on the “Use Custom Slider” box to use your own sliders.
In the “Slide image” section, you choose a maximum of 5 slide images from your existing images in the media library or upload new ones. Then click “Save & Publish” to complete your customization.
This is how your sliders should look like in front-end:
At the moment, the custom slider is not available on mobile, iPad and tablet.
Cutting-edge blocks
Block “What”
This block allows you to give a brief introduction about your website or anything you want your users to know clearly about your website/company.
Similar to creating your slider images, you go to Customize > Title & Background > Homepage Search > Block What.
*Note: HTML content is allowed, so you can enter this one if you want to CSS the title.
Block “Why” (Customize > Title & Background > Homepage Search > Block Why)
Along with Block What, Block Why is added to help you demonstrate why your site is the best choice for users. In this block, you can either use default icon or upload your own images.

Block “How” (Customize > Title & Background > Homepage Search > Block How)
In fact, this block is modified from the before-footer in the Default skin, which helps users grasp clearly the main workflow on your site. All steps are similarly implemented to block Why.
Elegant before-footer block
As a part of this skin, the before-footer is re-designed with new elegant appearance. Its display and content will vary depending on the login status of users (logged in or non logged in).
To customize the heading title, sub title and button text for both cases, you should go to Customize > Title & Background > Homepage Search > Block Footer as the image below:
Along with the Diplomat skin, in this version, we also improve some features on both admin dashboard and front-end.
Admin Dashboard
- Change the number format selection (Engine Settings > Theme Options > Payment Config > Number format)
From this version, there are two options for you to select the decimal and thousands separators instead of entering the value as before.
- Change the mJob category selection
Another improvement in the admin panel is that category selection. To sync with the front-end, checkbox is appropriately replaced by ratio when you select the mJob category.
Add the blog template
In this version, blog template is also built. Instead of choosing “Default Template” in the template field under “Page Attributes” section, you can able to select “Blog” template for your page.
Enable/disable options for local timezone & edit mJob is available
One of the most important features in MicrojobEngine 1.1.4 is that users can edit their mJobs even when those mJobs are active. To enable this option, simply visit Engine Settings > Theme Options > Microjob > mJob Verification > Editing mJob.
Besides, if you don’t want the local timezone display on user’s profile anymore, just disable this feature from back-end (EngineSettings > Theme Options > Users > Users Profile).

I am excited to have the latest version of the mocrojob engine on top of my previous version. I was looking at the demo of 1.1.4. It looks awesome. But one problem I could found in the Demo that the slider shows blank screen for few seconds before loading each image. So, it looks really ugly in the slider blank screen at every few seconds interval. If this problem is fixed, that’s fine. But if not, this should be resolved before releasing the update.

Thank you for the fast response Thao Le, but sorry the ET MAILING was in the previous versions befor the MicrojobEngine 1.1.2.
I was using V1.1.1 and i didn’t enter any API of email services, and after updating to 1.1.3 i found the plugin ET MAILING not integrated, and the mails dosent work for me, and i get always this message : ” You can’t use the emails because you haven’t inserted ET Mailing’s API. Please insert the API to make the website work like charm. “.
If you still using mailing’ API, How can i fix this? where to enter the API?
How can i enter my email in the configuration thus mails will sent properly via the microjob mails templates?
You can provide me via my EMAIL with steps and file names to fix it by myself.

Currently, we are focusing on implementing Stripe integrated with MicrojobEngine theme in version 1.2. Besides, MicrojobEngine v2.0 with great features & extensions will be released to mark the first anniversary. For the homepage customization, you can access Appearance > Customize for the most basic level. If you need more than that, you can hire a web developer to do it.

Regarding your question, you cannot integrate video to the slider customization section at this moment since it can make your theme become heavier. However, we are planning to implement other replace options, allowing you to embed links such as Youtube or Vimeo.
