MjE Stripe - Payment Gateway for MicrojobEngine

Early this year MicrojobEngine was released. From the first days developing MicrojobEngine, we have set our goal to create the Best Micro Job WordPress Theme in the market. Since then, a lot of things have been built into the theme, but the most remarkable are New Admin Dashboard and Diplomat Homepage Skin. The Admin Dashboard was redesigned and restructured to give you a better site management, whereas Diplomat Skin provided a fresh display for your homepage.

Talking about the future, we’re continuously staying committed to the initial goal, throwing ourselves into months not only improving the current system but also creating more enhanced features. And today I’m excited to announce the upcoming release of MjE Stripe – the first extension in the list. Realizing the limit of 2Checkout in marketplace payments and the need for more flexible gateways besides PayPal, we want to build Stripe extension to give you more choices of payment gateways for your marketplace platform.

MjE Stripe - Payment Gateway for MicrojobEngine

Secure & comfortable online payments

Being well-known as one of the most popular PayPal alternatives, Stripe is widely used to accept online payments, with billions of dollars handled each year.

Many e-commerce platforms partner with Stripe thanks to its comfortable and secure payment system. Stripe accepts credit card payments with the checkout process made on-site without redirecting to external sites. Moreover, you can rest assured that all payments via Stripe are secure as Stripe has an effective anti-fraud team to deal with dubious transactions.

Additionally, Stripe offers a safe system storing credit card information so that returning customers on your site have no hassle inputting all the payment info at checkout step.

Accept payments. Globally

Currently being available in 25 countries (with more expected to be added), Stripe is one of the best online payment solutions for international businesses. Once Stripe is supported in the location where your business is based, you can accept payments from anywhere in the world.

When is MjE Stripe available for your micro job marketplace?

Very soon. Our developer team is working intensely for the release of MicrojobEngine version 1.2 and MjE Stripe Extension. We want to make sure all performs perfectly before it’s delivered to you. We’re now halfway through the development, so it’s safe to expect all these amazing things at this month end. Stay tuned for a closer look at what we’re doing with Stripe!

Just a newbie question: Stripe with this plugin seems a good option for me, but I would like to ask:
    1. Do I need a SSL certificate?
    2. Will it store credit cards on my server? I hope not.
    Thanks.

An ssl certificate is required for live transactions. Since the credit card information is sent through
the browser, it needs to be secure. Complete credit card information is not stored on the server. However, in order to protect yourself
from certain forms of man-in-the-middle attacks, you must serve the page containing the payment
      form over HTTPS as well.

Does the plugin allow adding Stripe metadata fields? And can I alter the Description field that goes to stripe?
(I mean is it configurable, instead of changing any of the core classes files)

Currently it does not support this field. But it’s already in a schedule for the next version.

When a user saves the card during checkout, where is the card information saved? In cookies on users browser? In stripe customer? In the WordPress database?

    Thanks

The card id (looks like: customer_abcxyz) as well as last 4, expiration
and card type (visa, mastercard, etc) is saved in the wordpress database for reuse whenever
the customer chooses to purchase again. This function will be available from the next version.

When a customer make a purchase with Stripe does the thank you
    page display?

It’s supposed to be there when you finishing your payment. Also MjE 1.2 does have an invoice function which can help you check the payment via front-end.

Can the plugin automatically email monthly invoices each time payment is received?

The plugin doesn’t (yet) send monthly invoices each time a payment is received. But MicrojobEngine 1.2
does have an invoice function which can help you check the payment via front-end.

Thanks for reaching out. We’re going to release a new blog about MjE Ideas for November in the next few days. Ideas that get the highest votes will be included in the blog post. Votes and comments for each idea will be counted to help us prioritize which features to build first.

    Great themes you’ve got.
When can we have payment processor for Nigeria?
Stripe is not currently available in our country.
I think we should be able to use custom payment plugins as needed instead of restricting users to some few payment module on MicroJobEngine.

    Thank you.
