It’s been quite hectic working on WeddingEngine and other themes these days, but we’re still in the mood for feast and party at the end of the day. We realize it happens more often recently, and that means a happy summer is very soon to come. So, to close up the spring with joy and fun, we’d like to offer you a spring-end sale, and maybe also the very last sale until Black Friday in October.
Previously, when freelancers create their profiles, they can just select the “skills” from the dropdown list. It’s a little bit inconvenience since users don’t know which the provided skills are.
Therefore, we decided to change the way the “skills list” being displayed. In stead of the old one, freelancers now can select skills from the multi-dropdown list.
In celebration of Vietnam’s Reunification Day and International Workers’ Day, we’ll have some days off from April 28th to May 03rd. As a result, there will be some delay in our support work.
However, taking the experience from the previous holidays, we now arrange a support schedule in order not to delay the service for too long. Our support staffs will take turn to take care of the questions, the response will be slower than usual but we will try our best to help.
Urgent cases will be taken as priority while questions about technical issues will be resolved when we resume our works on May 04th.

The main change in DirectoryEngine version 1.8.4 is the completion of the header map. It’s now not only a section to display the location but can also be considered as a street map.
As for the mobile version, it is gradually completed too, users now can post places via mobile whenever and wherever they want.
Using the map on DirectoryEngine, you can easily find a way to get to your favorite place. Once you select a place from the list and visit its detailed page, you will see a “Car” symbol on the left corner of the header map. Click on it and the system will show you the guidance to get to that place.
Besides, according to your transportation, the map will have a different guide for you. You can choose one among these methods: driving, walking, bicycling or transit.
Furthermore, another small change regarding the map is also added. There’ll be a default style for the map which admin can select from the admin panel.
As many of you have known, each new PHP version provides better practices as well as new features. Besides, running a WordPress site, it also requires a minimal or specific PHP version.
Not too long ago, the PHP team has introduced the release of version 5.3. Though they have updated to a higher version, it’s still a major improvement in the 5.X series which includes a lot of new features and bug fixes. From now on, EngineThemes’ products only support PHP from version 5.3. Therefore, to help your site deliver the best performance, please remember to update your PHP to the version 5.3 or greater.
