Not too long ago, we made a promise to implement PayUMoney to JobEngine. Today, we’re happy to announce that the promise has been fulfilled.
PayUMoney is now official compatible with JobEngine. Just like how it works in FreelanceEngine and DirectoryEngine, you just have to complete some simple settings and it’s ready to use.
The main change in DirectoryEngine version 1.8.4 is the completion of the header map. It’s now not only a section to display the location but can also be considered as a street map.
As for the mobile version, it is gradually completed too, users now can post places via mobile whenever and wherever they want.
Using the map on DirectoryEngine, you can easily find a way to get to your favorite place. Once you select a place from the list and visit its detailed page, you will see a “Car” symbol on the left corner of the header map. Click on it and the system will show you the guidance to get to that place.
Besides, according to your transportation, the map will have a different guide for you. You can choose one among these methods: driving, walking, bicycling or transit.
Furthermore, another small change regarding the map is also added. There’ll be a default style for the map which admin can select from the admin panel.
Today, we release updates for some products that fix security issue. The updates are: QAEngine and DirectoryEngine. We take the security issue very seriously, so as soon as we notice the bug, we immediately work on and remove it at soonest.
Please remember to get the latest versions right away so that it won’t affect your business.
For more details, we fixed the function code so that the attacker can’t obtain the administrator accounts any more. They can’t create a new admin account or change the password just by using the user_ID.
This issue was notified by one of our customers, thanks to him, we can quickly resolve the bug. Also, we’ve checked the theme thoroughly all over again to make sure everything will be fine. This is a valuable experience for us and we’ll have plan for a regular security review.

Together with the security update release, we want to introduce some small changes in QAEngine version 1.5.1
A new section named “Pending” is added so that admin can easily approve new posts. This section stored all the new posted ones, admin don’t have to visit every single post to approve it anymore. You can quickly find new questions or answers right in the front-end and approve them just by a click.
FreelanceEngine v1.4 focuses on the completion of mobile version. The payment gateways are now fully integrated in mobile so that users can easily post projects whenever and wherever they want.

In this update, you can see how many people have viewed your posted place by enabling the function “View counter”. Once this option is on, you can easily see the number of viewers in the place details page. As a result, you can have suitable changes for your place to attract more visitors.
For those who are using DE Multirating, the number of views will be displayed in the overall review point.
Once a week, the system will count the views all over again so that you’ll always keep track up with the number of viewers.

Admins now have right to enable or disable the confirmation process for new users.
Previously, visitors are free to register on your site. Though it helps to simply the process, sometimes you have to receive a lot of spams. With this implementation, users have to confirm their email addresses to complete the registration process.
Of course, if admins don’t want this step, they can easily disable it in their admin panels.

Right from this update, you can set up the static front-page for your site. However, since the code has been changed a little, please remember to update the settings so that you won’t meet any trouble with ForumEngine’s latest version:
After update your theme, visit your admin panel > visit Page > choose “Thread Index” page > set Template as “Front-page”.
Then visit Settings > Reading > Front page displays > choose A Static page and select Threads Index as front page.
Together with the new extensions, we’re happy to introduce two new updates: FreelanceEngine version 1.3.4 and DirectoryEngine version 1.8.2. The updates include some small implementations and bugs fixes, which help you to remove the issues and welcome a bright new year.
A new section is implemented in the number format setting. You now can decide the number of decimal points beside setting up the decimal and thousand separators for currency.

AE PayPal Digital Goods offers an option to conveniently process PayPal payments right from your site. In the previous versions, when customer check out, they will be directed to a different page which requires them to log into their PayPal account.
Using AE PayPal Digital Goods, your users can directly make the payment via PayPal Express and won’t have to visit another site any more. As a result, you can serve your customers better and may improve your sales. According to PayPal’s website, the Express Checkout button “can increase sales by 14% on average and has conversion rates that are 23% higher than standard checkout”.

However, seem like there was some confusions during the update process. In order to help you stay away from the troubles, in the meantime, we decided to maintain two independent versions of ClassifiedEngine.
